Lekha Singh – Women carry the world

On their heads, on their backs, on their shoulders, at arm’s length or close to them, for centuries they have carried children, transported wood, water, food, bricks or mountains of cotton. Follow them through this exhibition, which reveals the spectacular burdens they carry. American photographer Lekha Singh pays tribute to the women of the world. Each in their own way, women carry a part of the world. It is time to bring them into the spotlight, and this is what the American photographer does so brilliantly. On the tracks of the fields, the roads of the markets, the paths of the villages or the tumult of the cities, you will follow sportswomen, mothers, doyennes with ankles cracked by the heat of the day or teenagers who put their nascent strengths to the test.   Exhibition until 02 January 2023. MusĂ©e de l’Homme : 17 Place du TrocadĂ©ro 75016 Paris Open every day except Tuesdays, 01 January, 14 July and 25 December. Opening hours: from 11am to 7pm. Price: 13€. EXHIBITION ON CHARLES RAY

A major figure in the art of our time, the American sculptor Charles Ray (born in 1953), is making cultural headlines: in dialogue with the artist, the Bourse de Commerce-Pinault Collection is devoting a major exhibition to him.The works of Charles Ray are part of a deep knowledge of the history of classical art and Antiquity.Whether the work is produced in steel, cement, fiberglass, polished steel, or aluminum, Charles Ray’s practice calls upon various processes, between artisanal work and cutting-edge industrial technology, always concealing its sometimes dizzying complexity. and the often very long time of its elaboration. His artistic practice places the question of space at the center of his research and offers the viewer an experience of the relationship to reality, more complex, more mysterious. The artist also has fun “making us look twice”. Even more: as much by their « strange familiarity Â», their ambiguity, as by their unspeakable precision that looks like prowess, Charles Ray’s works destabilize, as if under the effect of a hallucination, almost managing to shake the space around them. they, reality itself, silently bringing the observer into a form of fiction. The exhibition will end on June 06, 2022Trade exchange: 2 rue Viarmes 75001 ParisHours: 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.Closed Tuesdays and May 01Price: 14€Metro: line 1 station Louvre6Rivoliline 4 station Les Hallesline 7, 11 and 14 Châtelet station

How to become a parisian in one hour

In 2001, Olivier packed his bags and left for the United States. He obtained a 6-year visa, and quickly became MaĂ®tre d’HĂ´tel in one of the most prestigious hotels on the East Coast, in Palm Springs, Florida. With his professional experience on the other side of the world, Olivier was passionate about the cultural differences he observed between the French and the rest of the world. He then decided to write a show about Parisians because his American clients always asked him the same question: “Why are Parisians so arrogant?” “. This show is written all in English, and will be interpreted as such. After two years of writing, he presented his project to many entertainment professionals to obtain their support. Unfortunately his project is cataloged as doomed to failure. No one wants to bet on him, a choice is then necessary: to create his own production company “La French Arrogance Production”.The show attracts both French and international spectators.Date: until June 30, 2022Venue: New Arrivals TheaterAddress: 24 Boulevard des Poissonnières 75009 ParisPrice from 24€Metro: line 6 and 9 Grand Boulevards stationsBuses: 85, 74, 48, 39 and 20
