Musée Guimet - National Museum of Asian Arts

This museum was born from the great project of Emile Guimet (1836-1918), an industrialist from Lyon, who wanted to create a museum of the religions of Egypt, classical antiquity and the countries of Asia. From his travels, he assembled an important collection, initially presented in Lyon from 1879. He later transferred his collections to a museum he had built in Paris, which was inaugurated in 1889.

Palais Galliera - Museum of fashion and costume

The Duchess of Galliera's palace, built in the 19th century, is the setting for the Fashion Museum, inaugurated in 1977, which brings to life the history of fashion through prestigious temporary exhibitions. They allow visitors to discover part of a rich collection of 90,000 pieces: the sumptuous clothes of the 18th and 19th centuries as well as the works of the great couturiers and designers keep the memory of three centuries of fashion alive.

National Museum of the Navy

House of Balzac

Located in the heart of the old village of Passy, this house is the only Parisian residence of the writer that remains today. Balzac lived here from 1840 to 1847 and wrote La Comédie humaine.
