Sleepless night in Paris

The Parisian Sleepless Nights made Paris dream. For this 17th edition, the event will take place on the 6th of October 2018 and will be directed by GaĂ«l Charbau, independent curator and artistic advisor for Universcience. From 7 PM to 7 AM, Parisians and travelers have a date with Art in the city of lights, full artistic masterpieces and artists representations. At this occasion, public transports will be maintained all night long and various restaurants will stay open until dawn. Stay at the HĂ´tel Pastel and extend the artistic pleasure in a colorful, pop and cosy ambiance!

Neandertal, l’Expo

The Musée de l’Homme welcome you until September 7th of 2019 to make you discover Neanderthal men. The public is invited to discover their behaviors and habits through objects and fossils obtained from the Museum collections or landed by famous french and europeans institutions. A large majority of them are rarely exposed or even never presented in France. For the most curious ones, the museum also propose permanent collections focusing around 3 major themes: Biological anthropolog, Cultural anthropology and Prehistory. Europe Heritage Days

More than 30 years ago, the ministry of culture and communication created the European Heritage days that invite you to discover or rediscover Parisian monuments for free. For a week end in the year, various animations are organized and allow for unusual tours and even visits in closed to public places like the Palais de l’ElysĂ©e.   Discover unavoidable places like Matignon, the Orsay Museum or the Arc de Triomphe but also contemporary monuments like Paris’ Philharmonic, the Louis Vuitton foundation or the City of design and fashion.   For this 2018 edition that will take place the 15th and the 16th of September, the city of Paris honors Cultural Heritage and the art of sharing.   Share this moment in family or with friends at the HĂ´tel Pastel and discover the cultural and artistic charms of the French capital under a new face.

Impressionists in London

At the end of the XIXth century, the Franco-Prussian War, the fall of the second French Empire and Paris Commune encouraged a large diversity of artists to run away and to live in United Kingdom. Champs Elysees for Pedestrians

Each month, Paris’ city council closes the access to Champs Elysee for motorized vehicles and totally dedicates the avenue to pedestrians. This Sunday August 5th, discover the world’s most famous avenue under in a new light and enjoy shopping and sunny promenades in Paris. Tour de France arrival in Paris

Since 1975, the Tour de France ends on the Champs –Elysees. This year the course ends in Paris on Sunday 29th of July.   You would like to observe the cyclists for their last step and enjoy the Parisian festive atmosphere?   Choose the Hotel Pastel and sleep at only few minutes walking from the  finish line !

National Day, 14th of July

The 14th of July is a special date in France as it the National Day that celebrates the nation’s freedom obtained after the French Revolution of 1789. A military procession is organized on the Champs ElysĂ©es, 10 minutes only from the Hotel Pastel and honors the French armed forces. This parade of the ground and air troops will take place from 9.30 AM to 12 A.M in presence of the French President. In the 16th district, other events are planned for this special occasion. A great concert will be given at the Champs de Mars from 9.30 PM by the National French Orchestra and the Radio France Choir. They will be playing pieces from Berlioz, Bizet, Puccini, Ravel, ou encore Verdi. This concert will be followed by a majestic firework near the Eiffel Tower. For the partiers, the Bal des Pompiers – Firefighters Ball – will be organized at the 15th district casern. This event will be free and open to everyone from 9 PM to 4 AM at the 1 rue Violet in Paris.
